Sewing Skills Studio

In 2019 we started sponsoring a sewing skills workshop in Makhanda/Grahamstown. The basic proposition was that we would pay stipends (which we did) and trainees would receive mentoring and training in business and life skills.
The first two iterations of the course ran well, and we know of at least six 'alumni' who gained jobs or have been earning a living freelance using these skills.
Covid interrupted the running of this programme and we were able to run the course again in 2022.
